There are three reasons I love this recipe

  1. Uses one pot
  2. It’s easy to make
  3. Seriously delicious and makes you look (and feel) like a talented chef

Introducing Beef Ribs in BBQ Sauce. This is not our recipe, we have borrowed this from RecipeTin Eats. It’s an absolute winner and a recipe loved by all.

The recipe is so forgiving - if you don’t have a spice or the right sugar, substitute with whatever you have on hand.

That’s one of the best things with slow-cooked meals, measurements are real rough guides ...

And trust me, it will work out perfectly fine.

The recipe is simple and RecipeTin Eats has done an outstanding job explaining how to make the ribs.

Nagi (owner of RecipeTin Eats) even has a video showing you how to make the ribs.

So my advice here - if you’re not super confident in the kitchen, follow her recipe exactly.

But if you are confident and want to jazz it up, go for it, add whatever you feel like.

It’s pretty simple ...

Throw everything into a pan/pot, slow cook it ... and reap the benefits of a home-cooked meal.

For us, I added my own little flair - feel free to do. This is what I did ...

  1. Doubled the spice rub - my Mum always taught me to double and even triple spices
  2. I added one teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the spice rub
  3. 1 halved the sugar in the spice rub and barbecue sauce - completely up to you, but I don't like my food too sweet

That’s about it - only minor changes. I served it with RecipeTin Eats “Our Best NO MAYO Coleslaw” and added some sliced cucumber too.

Lastly I served it with some Kipfler Potatoes. Really easy to make - I washed the potatoes, cut them in half, chucked them into a baking dish, added 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil/olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt. Roast in the oven on 180℃ for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.

As I mentioned earlier this recipe is super forgiving, so you can literally serve it with anything you like. Things that would work well is mashed potato, fresh garden salad or steamed greens.

It was a real winner, it’s a 10/10 from Drew and I … so I encourage you to make it.

We hope you love it as much as we do.
